Working Breakfast International 2012

It’s something that makes our group different
Our very own USP
A chance for sunshine networking
And all of it pretty well free

First thoughts, it may not be possible
To travel to sunnier shores
But when our networking is put to the test
It usually handles the chores

And this year it’s autumn we travelled
A new destination is found
An Isle in the Med, promised sunshine
Yes this year we’re Minorca bound.

The invitation, as ever is open
We all got a chance to partake
With partners or guests, all are welcome
This networking journey to make

This fifth trip, sees only the hard core
A 50% take up rate
And one new face to make welcome
And nobody dropping out late

An un-godly hour to be starting
Found us having lunch in the sun
Setting the scene for weekend
And hours and hours of fun

This island, it made us feel welcome
The hotel, it suited us well
And by the end of the first day
Our waistlines had started to swell

Of food we knew no moderation
The bar staff, our hearts they would win
When we learnt of their little secret
Their very own 8 second gin!

Four gins would take half a litre
Which makes for a very good drink
Enough to last you all evening
Or that’s what you’d jolly well think

But we stretched our body’s limits
And we did it time after time
So on the very last morning
Not everyone was feeling just fine

But it will go down in the records
As one of the best that we’ve had
And we ask you to join with us next time
To prove our networking ain’t bad.
